About Kids Alive

Kids Alive is where children aged 5-13 come to have fun, make friends and learn new things. We run After-School Care and Holiday Programmes that are action-packed with crafts, sports, stories, treasure hunts, team games and more. 

Operating under the umbrella of the Geraldine Family & Youth Trust, Kids Alive offers outstanding care for children. In everything we do, we aim to embody the Christian values of love, service and forgiveness and work hard to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for all.

We provide well-planned, stimulating and age-appropriate programmes that allow children positive interaction with other children, adults and the environment. We empower children to make choices and give them ownership of their programme.

Our aim is to encourage children to be their best at all times. Kids Alive is an environment that acknowledges and celebrates children with special needs, providing support for them and their parents / whanau.

Geraldine Family & Youth Trust

Kids Alive Geraldine operates under the umbrella of the Geraldine Family & Youth Trust, which is a registered Charitable Trust. The purpose of the Trust is to be a funding vehicle for Christian organisations (churches, groups or individuals) to promote Christian work primarily for projects benefiting children, youth and families, and where appropriate engage in these activities in its own right. It is a stand alone legal entity.

"Organisations approaching the Trust set their own objectives and complete their own funding applications. They may operate under the name of the Trust if this best serves their funding purposes. In this case organisations will have their own management teams who will oversee all matters relating to the planning and running of that organisation." 

Kids Alive Geraldine has its own Management Team and functions independently. It operates under the Trust to maximise its access to funding. What this means is that:

• All funding applications are made under the name of the Geraldine Family & Youth Trust
• Staff are employed by the Trust
• All payments are made to, and receipts issued by, the Trust
